This is NOT a text that seeks to "debunk" the Miracle. Quite the contrary, it adds a previously unknown dimension to the Miracle itself. Malachi Martin was the first one to offer to him, when Smith wrote his book on Quantum Physics, that what the world needed was not Thomism, but a "new Thomas Aquinas." Smith jumps at the suggestion and also argues throughout his Quest text that a "new Thomas Aquinas" is needed to handle the discoveries of modern quantum mechanics. What becomes clear as one reads the text is that neither Martin nor Smith mean by this that someone was needed to incorporate the new knowledge into the Thomist philosophy.   In this video, Hoeller goes through the Gnostic Gospels of Mary Magdalen and Philip, which are supposed to be the teachings and actual words of Our Lord.  In the text cited by Hoeller in a 2003 conference, Our Lord is purported to teach: 1) A pure Manichean cosmology and salvation doctrine which speaks of the human soul escaping from the universe through the various planetary spheres that intentionally try to keep the human soul from transcending the physical plane of existence. 2) In the Gospel of Mary Magdelen, Our Lord is blasphemously said to assert that Peter did wrong to send away "effeminate" men (i.e., homosexuals) because for his teaching and for salvation homosexuality and sodomy don't matter.   Before I comment on the text of this book that was published 5 years ago and, yet, has been so well hidden from public view, I would like to just make some general comments concerning my impressions of the text.   From his email to me today:  A revision of the probabilities gave a larger number. Now the probability of the event being due to chance is  1 in 61.428.000.000.000.000  In my humble opinion, this is in the category of a miracle. Dr. Chojnowski: Remember that the odds of a golfer getting a "hole in one" are 1 in 2,500.  I think either the 10 year old Lucia dos Santos is a VERY GOOD GUESSER or there is something else going on here. Was Sister Lucy of Fatima replaced by an imposter? Yes 70.3% No 6.3% Don't Know 23.4% Obviously, this polls those who have some remote interest in or awareness of the question. The results: 70% Yes, there was an imposter. 6% No, there was not an imposter. 23% Don't Know. This shows us that when the issues are presented, it is clear to most that there was an imposter. It also shows us that there is still much work to do with regard to continuing to collect scientific reports and information concerning the case that can be presented to the general public. We are right now continuing those efforts. With all the evidence available, I am not sure that the 6% can ever be convinced as we have been.
