The traditionalist movement went wrong, because it was never about making any real changes for the better in the Church.They simply went on to form their own "Church" or Chapel and to make money for themselves and their leaders or to support their group or organization.
The traditionalist movement is not about forming a different Church that was the work after Vatican 2 with the New order religion. But as human beings are always involved things go awry because as human beings we tend to break off in factions.
