Pope Pius XII Did Consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on July 7, 1952. It was a Half-Measure because It Did Not Conform to the Specific Requests of Our Lady to Sister Lucy of Fatima. Proof of Both of These Claims Below.
Let's end the controversy here. Russia --- by name ---- has been consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by a Pope. No question. However, not as Our Lady requested.
Here is the text from The Whole Truth About Fatima by Frere Michel of the Holy Trinity, Vol. III:

Here is the text reference to the letter in which the true Sister Lucy indicates the conditions which must be fulfilled before Our Lady's requests would be fulfilled concerning the Consecration of Russia. There is a large gap in her authentic letters during the 50s, so we have no statement from the real Sister Lucy, that I know of, which states her attitude towards Pope Pius XII's real consecration. See, especially, the letter of December 2, 1940 where she explicitly mentions that the consecration must be done with all the Catholic bishops of the world who are ordered to do it.

This was not the consecration that will bring peace to the world and the conversion of Russia. In the same book of Fr. Michael or the one of Fr. Francois it is said that Sister Lucy told to someone who show her the news of the consecration by Pius XII: "It was not carried out as the Virgin requested...patience!" (therefore, we must continue waiting for it). Then, in the 1957 interview with Fr. Fuentes, she said that "Russia will be the instrument of punishment for the entire world if we do not beforehand obtain the conversion of that poor nation." Some people argue that the "peace and conversion" refers only to the "persecution in Russia" but it is not what the message says: peace is for the "world" (and was not the case, suffice to name: the Korean war, the Hungary revolution, the Vietnam war, etc) and the conversion must be understood as "conversion to catholicism" (It is impossible to think, by mouth of the Virgin, of a "conversion" to a socialism or democracy or even to "orthodoxy"). The final consecration will provoke the end of the age of the gentiles and will bring the messianic peace.
ReplyDeleteThere were three requirements with the third one mostly overlooked and that is the necessity of our making the five First Saturdays of REPARATION. Prayer, fasting and almsgiving are always spoken of but without reparation little will be accomplished. Think about the conditions to be forgiven in the Sacrament of Confession.
