  2. Anna-Maria Taigi (1769-1837) and Marie Julie Jahenny (born in 1850) also prophesied about the Three Days of Darkness. It is private revelation. Some Catholics put too much faith in private revelation. They're probably not aware that the Church does not and can not, impose belief in a private revelation and its contents, either on an individual or on the faithful at large.

    As for Padre Pio, we don't know whether the quotes are authentic. If they are, then they aren't original, as others have made the same prophecy before. It's always better to follow the sure way of *public* revelation.
